EMERGING COMPANY OF THE YEAR – BIOTECH

This award is presented to a biotech company that has demonstrated outstanding performance, achieved significant milestones, and is well-positioned for future commercial success. It recognizes organizations that are in the earlier stages of their journey and showing exceptional promise within the BC life sciences sector.

Qualifications & Eligibility

• Must have headquarters significant operations in BC with at least 75% of their FTEs (employees /FTEs including consultants) in BC
• Must have at least three years of financial results
• Must have at least 10 FTEs at the time of nomination
• Must be an LSBC member

Award Criteria

• Demonstrates a strong market position, market opportunity, and/or strategic advantages that position the company for future success, and/or offers a product/technology recognized by the market as a solution to an important problem.
• Achieved at least three of the following significant milestones:
  • Financing and/or Fundraising
  • Licensing agreement(s)
  • Commercialization or Product launch(es)
  • Regulatory milestone(s)
  • Developmental milestone(s)
  • Clinical milestone(s)
  • Revenue growth or attainment of a significant revenue milestone
