Navdeep Bains, Minister of Innovation, Science and Industry offered his recognition of British Columbia’s life science sector in this quote for the 2020 Annual LifeSciences BC Investor Summit, presented by Lumira Ventures: “The life sciences sector in British Columbia and Canada has a proud history of ingenuity, with tremendous potential as a driver for investments, innovations, and well-paying jobs. The LifeSciences BC Investor Summit, presented by Lumira Ventures brought together industry stakeholders from the healthcare innovation ecosystem for company pitching and fostering strategic partnerships with international investors. This signature event profiled more than 30 digital health, therapeutics, and medical technology entrepreneurs from British Columbia’s life sciences sector.

Each of the selected companies had the opportunity to present their company’s story and receive feedback and engagement from a wide range of investor stakeholders including, angel investors, venture capitalists, and corporate ventures from Japan, France, Hong Kong, China, the United States and Canada.
