Role Type: Contract Co-op Student Duration: 16 weeks minimum (extension for the right candidate is preferred)
Start date: Jan 2026 Hours: (Full time) 37.5 hours
Wage: $18/hour Location: Office & Home
Criteria: Registered fulltime Marketing and/or Communications student at a post-secondary Canadian institution who is either a Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident. Fully vaccinated.

The Opportunity:
The Marketing & Communications Co-op Student is a short-term role that supports the Manager, Marketing & Communications in analyzing, organizing, and executing marcomms department initiatives that serve the greater good of the entire organization and its membership.
Scope of Position:
- Social Media - defining and executing a comprehensive social media strategy
- Website - managing the collection and posting of materials as well as updating
- Newsletters - assisting with the preparation of weekly newsletters
- Branding - ensuring consistent use of marketing materials
Skills & Knowledge
- Interest in health and life sciences
- An analytical mind and ability to think critically
- Sound writing and interpersonal communication skills
- Comprehensive knowledge of a purposeful Social Media strategies
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Familiar with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe InDesign suite, Canva, and capable of creating visually compelling presentations
- Knowledge of email marketing software such as Constant Contact
- Experience with WordPress, Hootsuite, and Google Analytics
