JOB TITLE: Technologist
DEPARTMENT: Wellness
REPORTS TO: Operations Manager
COMPANY:
Bodycomp Imaging is a Vancouver-based company that specializes in body composition analysis using Hologic DEXA scanners. These scanners use x-ray absorptiometry to measure the density and tissue composition of the human body, including bone mineral content, lean mass, and fat mass. By analyzing the ratio of muscle to fat to bone, we can track changes in muscle, fat, and bone tissue over time.
ROLE:
Bodycomp Imaging is looking for a full-time and a part-time technologist at Bodycomp Imaging. Both technologists will be responsible for operating and maintaining DEXA scanners, performing body composition scans, and ensuring accurate and precise data collection. The technologists will also interpret and analyze the scan results and provide our clients recommendations based on their findings. Furthermore, the technologists manage office duties (i.e. calling, receiving, clients, inventory) and other admin tasks to assist operations. The part-time technologist will need to be able to speak Mandarin Chinese to talk to our demographics at one of of our clinics. DUTIES + RESPONSIBILITIES:
- DEXA Body Composition Scanning
- Client care through procedure explanations, positioning and scanning
- Scanner quality control checks and maintenance reporting to support team to ensure the equipment is in good working order
- Data processing and interpretation through reporting and results summary
- Health consultation for interpreting the data to ensure that our clients understand the detail
- Supporting clients with comprehending the information in support of their individual goals
- Business development (*Revenue/Sales Driving)
- Client care and follow-up
- Contacting clients and potential partners
- Ambassador within the community and neighbourhood in support of increased brand awareness, contacting related businesses for collaboration
- Location administration and operations:
- Booking appointments, receiving payments and client billing
- Location inventory management
- Other duties as assigned by leaders
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Degree or certificate in related field (ex. Kinesiology, Nuclear Medicine, Nutritionist, etc.) or equivalent experience; CAMRT Certification, preferred
- 2+ years related experience in a customer-facing role
- Experience providing superior patient care in a clinical environment, ideal
- Strong problem solver and critical thinker with an ability to analyze and interpret data
- Outstanding attention to detail, personal initiative and demonstrated ability to plan and prioritize
- Excellent team player and confident independent contributor
- Adept at juggling multiple projects simultaneously to meet deadlines
- Exceptional verbal and written communication
- Skilled at working with MS Office, Google G suite
- Strong Administrative Skills
- Fluent in Mandarin Chinese (Part-Time Role)

Pay: $30.00-$35.00 per hour
Expected hours: 24 – 32 per week (Part-Time), 40 per week (Full-Time)
