Vancouver Coastal Health Research Institute (VCHRI) is a global leader in translational health research and the research arm of Vancouver Coastal Health, advancing discovery and innovation from bench to bedside to community across one of Canada’s largest academic health systems. VCHRI operates across Vancouver General Hospital, UBC Hospital, GF Strong Rehabilitation Centre, and a network of community hospitals and public health agencies, in partnership with the University of British Columbia Faculty of Medicine.
With more than $100 million in annual research funding and over 2,400 investigators, clinicians, trainees and staff, VCHRI supports research excellence across acute care, rehabilitation, population and public health, mental health and substance use, alongside emerging priorities such as digital health, artificial intelligence and precision medicine.
