Call for Capstone Projects: UBC’s School of Biomedical Engineering

UBC’s School of Biomedical Engineering (SBME) invites LSBC members to propose a project for our Capstone Design Course, to be undertaken by 4^th-year undergraduate student teams from Sept 2021-May 2022, by filling out this submission form by August 1^st. Participating organizations have benefitted by promoting their organization to UBC students and researchers, working with potential future employees, as well as receiving custom solutions and prototypes for evaluation. Potential projects can be wide-ranging, since our students specialize in different areas (Cellular Bioengineering, Biomedical Systems & Signals, Biomechanics & Biomaterials, and Biomedical Informatics). Student teams follow a structured design process with the goal of delivering functioning prototypes and design documentation (including a formal report) to you. Teams are carefully supervised by faculty mentors and are expected to meet and interact with their company clients regularly. Please reach out to us at capstone@sbme.ubc.ca with any questions or to discuss further.
