LifeLabs Celebrates Future Generations: 11 Students Honoured as Recipients of the Prestigious Employee Family Scholarship Program
TORONTO, ON. – LifeLabs, Canada’s most trusted brand in health diagnostic services, is thrilled to announce the outstanding recipients of the LifeLabs Family Scholarship Program for the year 2023. As part of our commitment to fostering the educational dreams of the next generation, LifeLabs has selected 11 exceptional students who have showcased remarkable achievements, leadership, and dedication to their communities. These young scholars have demonstrated academic excellence and made significant contributions to promoting Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) within their communities.
Each year, LifeLabs proudly awards scholarships to its employees’ talented and deserving dependent children who graduated high school. Additionally, our valued insurance partner, The Co-operators, contributes one scholarship to further support our mission of empowering future leaders.
The scholarship recipients were chosen based on their exceptional academic performance, extracurricular involvement, community engagement, and passion for fostering inclusion. Embracing the values of the Stronger Together program, candidates were required to provide an essay highlighting their efforts in promoting inclusivity in their daily lives and their plans to continue this vital work.
“Supporting the educational aspirations of our youth is the cornerstone of progress and the foundation for a brighter future,” says Charles Brown, President and CEO of LifeLabs. “We firmly believe that by investing in the families and communities that surround us, we are nurturing growth, hope and unlocking the boundless potential within each student. We are immensely proud and excited to witness the journeys ahead for these exceptional young individuals. Their inspiring submissions have painted a vivid picture of the countless opportunities and possibilities that await them. Congratulations to all our well-deserving winners and their proud parents!”
The scholarship winners, five from British Columbia and six from Ontario, will embark on diverse post-secondary programs encompassing a broad spectrum of fields, including Speech Science, Engineering Science, Nursing, Management and Organizational Studies, Business Administration, Nutrition and Food, and Pharmaceutical Science.
Sejal Pandya, Sr. Medical Lab Technologist at LifeLabs and the proud parent of one of the scholarship recipients, expressed heartfelt gratitude, saying, “Our family is incredibly proud and grateful that my daughter has been awarded the LifeLabs Family Scholarship.
