Onestep Laboratories to Develop a Stable Formula for Chlorine Analysis

VANCOUVER, BC – Onestep Laboratories, a B.C. based biotech company that specializes in developing and producing raw material for immunoassay and other assays, has successfully developed a stable formula for chlorine analysis.
Chlorine has been used for public health for more than a century. Today, more than 80,000 tons of chlorine is used each year in US and Canada to disinfect drinking water. DPD is commonly used for determining the chlorine concentration from the intensity of the color formed when the chlorine reacts with DPD, a color-forming indicator, though DPD is toxic. Onestep Laboratories developed a stable TMB formulation to determine the chlorine concentration. It is possible to replace current DPD method since it is a non-toxic formulation, more sensitive and cost effective. This stable formula is U.S. patent pending.
The Company will also be exhibiting at the 2019 American Association for Clinical Chemistry meeting in Anaheim, CA on August 6-8, 2019.
