What is Creative Destruction Lab?

Creative Destruction Lab (CDL) is a nonprofit organization that delivers an objectives-based program for massively scalable, seed-stage, science- and technology-based companies.

At Creative Destruction Lab (CDL), we’re looking for the world’s most promising technologies and companies.
We pair them with expert mentorship, technical advice, and help them forge connections to both investors and key industry players. We take no equity or IP ownership, and we charge no fees. CDL is funded by the contributions of visionary entrepreneurs and corporations who are passionate to support CDL’s mission to accelerate the commercialization of science for the betterment of humankind.

Since its inception in 2012, more than 4000 founders representing over 1700 companies have participated in our program and have gone on to create over $18 billion in equity value.

Review CDL locations and streams

Explore CDL’s stream offerings (general and specialized) or attend a webinar. Learn more about CDL mentors (accomplished entrepreneurs, experienced operators, and active angel and venture investors) that participate at each CDL location.

Prepare for your CDL application

Compile the necessary information to complete your application, including but not limited to:

  • An informed understanding of CDL locations and stream selection
  • An overview of your company
  • Your team’s background
  • The core technology (and its differentiation)
  • Funding and revenue information
  • Why CDL?

Applications close at 11:59PM Eastern on July 31, 2022. Interviews will be held in August 2022.

Due to COVID-19, CDL has developed the capability to deliver the program online. Each CDL location will follow the guidance of local public health officials to reevaluate opportunities to transition back to in-person sessions and activities.
