The BCIT Biotechnology faculty deliver advanced training in a variety of life science disciplines, including microbiology, immunology, molecular genetics, protein biochemistry, process systems and animal & plant cell biology. Students enrolled in their Biotechnology Programs earn a joint BCIT-UBC Honours BSc degree.

The majority of the faculty also conduct applied research in topics ranging from human health to biofuel production.

INSPIRE is BCIT’s largest-ever fundraising campaign. Focused on renewing infrastructure and education to meet the needs of employers and students for generations to come, this campaign will ensure BCIT continues to lead in innovation, technology, and applied education.
