JOHANNA MILLS

Johanna Mills is the Marketing and Communications Manager for Life Sciences BC (LSBC).

As a skilled communicator with a wealth of knowledge and experience in marketing, communications, and business development, Johanna plays a key role in bringing awareness to BC’s dynamic life sciences community through its members and cutting-edge innovations. Johanna is responsible for developing and executing LSBC’s strategic communications, including media relations, digital and social media, branding, writing internal and external materials, event marketing, and membership support.

Prior to joining LSBC, Johanna gained considerable marketing and business development experience while working in the legal industry. She held management roles at McCarthy Tétrault LLP and Watson Goepel LLP, which allowed her to strengthen her strategic communications skills while working with leadership and stakeholders to develop and execute marketing and business development initiatives. Earlier in her career, Johanna spent more than three years at Borden Lader Gervais LLP.

Johanna holds a Bachelor of Arts in Canadian Studies from the University of British Columbia.

Outside work, Johanna enjoys exploring local beaches and bike trails with friends and family and setting out on road trip adventures throughout beautiful British Columbia.
