Web Summit is one of the world’s largest and most influential technology gatherings. It will be returning to Vancouver for its second year from May 11-14, 2026. The BC Pavilion will serve as the go-to destination to engage directly with our province’s innovation community and ecosystem at the heart of the conference.
In collaboration with our partners, Life Sciences BC is supporting and initiating a range of activities around Web Summit Vancouver to facilitate connection, visibility, and engagement across the life sciences sector.
Road to Web Summit Vancouver
March & April
LSBC is pleased to partner with Innovate BC to offer a Road to Web Summit Vancouver (R2WSV) program for pre-seed and seed life sciences companies planning to attend Web Summit Vancouver in 2026. This cohort-style program will include two strategic virtual sessions to build capacity and visibility by connecting early-stage companies with expert mentors, investors, and peers. Companies will also receive tools and feedback related to fundraising and market expansion plan development, and an invitation to an exclusive networking event hosted by investment partners during Web Summit.
Investor Showcase
May 11
Innovate BC, in partnership with LSBC, is hosting an Investor Showcase on Monday, May 11, 2026, in downtown Vancouver as a premium event ahead of Web Summit Vancouver. The Investor Showcase will convene a curated group of British Columbia’s most investible technology ventures for an afternoon of pitching, sector-specific spotlights, and direct engagement with a targeted audience of domestic and international investors already planning to attend Web Summit Vancouver.
HealthTech Unwind
May 12
HealthTech Unwind is a Web Summit 2026 side event hosted by Nimbus Synergies, Pender Ventures, Fasken, and Life Sciences BC, taking place on Tuesday, May 12, 2026. This networking event provides space for health tech startups, investors, and ecosystem partners to connect outside of the main conference. This event offers a relaxed setting for conversation and connection, with light refreshments available.
BC Pavilion at Web Summit
May 13
The BC Pavilion is a dedicated space on the Web Summit Vancouver exhibit floor that showcases the intersection of technology, British Columbia’s people, and the natural environment through its design, featured content, and on-site activities, including the B.C. Venture Spotlight. The Pavilion will host a variety of programming types during the conference, such as presentations, panels, and pitch competitions, creating opportunities for discussion, learning, and engagement. LSBC is coordinating programming to take place in the BC Pavilion during the afternoon on Wednesday, May 13.
Venture Spotlight
May 13
Innovate BC, in partnership with LSBC, is hosting the Venture Spotlight activation on Wednesday, May 13, at the BC Pavilion during Web Summit Vancouver. This activation will showcase the next generation of B.C.-grown Life Sciences innovators to the thousands of investors, media, and industry in attendance. Selected applicants will receive a half-day exhibiting slot at the BC Pavilion, providing a platform to share their technology and elevate their visibility in front of industry leaders, potential customers, investors, and more.
