Apply to the SoCal Biotech Highway Program 2021-22

The San Diego office of the Trade Commissioner Service of Canada has developed SoCal Biotech Highway, a program designed to provide guidance and high-touch strategic advisory services to early-stage biotech companies. Drug development companies that are looking to either launch innovative technologies towards commercialization, or grow their portfolio of existing products into new therapeutic areas can benefit from a tailored strategic approach. The SoCal Biotech Highway will help Canadian executives foster better relationships with global pharmaceutical executives, and advise on how best to raise capital from investors in California.
Clients will work closely with the Trade Commissioner and local experts to:
- Improve overall corporate strategy and IP.
- Streamline research and development issues.
- Clarify market focus and regulatory plan.
- Sharpen investment and partnering presentations.
Criteria:
- Drug Development companies on the cutting edge of innovation, with solid IP and disruptive technology.
- Novel Assets in a therapeutic market area that is of current interest to large pharma
- Companies with a Scientific Data Package that contains well-validated animal studies or early phase 1 Clinical Trials
- Clients who have received some early seed or angel financing or grants from NRC-IRAP
- “Coachable” CEOs that seek VC investment or have an interest in Pharma partnering with companies in the Southern California market
