Logistics Specialist (Part-Time)

Job Description:

SignalChem is seeking a well-qualified logistics specialist to join its research & development team. The individual must have exceptional people skills and perform well in a team environment. 

Responsibilities: 

• Coordinate the re-stocking of products to ensure inventory is sufficient to fill orders and requests from the sales department.
• Plan, coordinate, execute, and track shipment of products according to customer requirements and product specifications.
• Communicate with customers regarding delivery schedules and shipping-related issues.
• Provide timely service with minimal supervision and work effectively during high-volume periods.
• Appropriately handle products depending on their handling and storage requirements to ensure product quality is not compromised.
• Communicate with suppliers to negotiate pricing and supply chain needs.
• Collaborate with the manufacturing, quality control, and sales teams to resolve product issues.
• Prepare and present reports to senior management.

Requirements:

• A bachelor’s degree in biological science or another related field with at least one (1) year of wet lab experience is an asset.
• Proficiency in pipetting and basic laboratory techniques.
• Proficient in MS Office.
• Capable of working in a fast-paced environment independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent organization and time management skills showing close attention to detail.
• Effective verbal and written communication.
• Able to lift a 20 kg package and willing to handle -80C test tubes for long periods. 

This is a part-time position (3 days per week) with potential for full-time based on business needs and performance.
