Program Overview: Life Sciences BC has been approved for funding from the Pacific Economic Development Agency of Canada (PacifiCan) to deliver our Growth Catalyst Program, aimed to support the expansion of BC’s high-growth life sciences companies and make a meaningful impact on the sector. With goals of job creation, revenue growth, and capital attraction, this program is designed to foster regional economic development. In addition, this initiative is intended to enable high-growth companies to expand their networks, opportunities, skills, and knowledge to scale in Canada and beyond. An advisory council of life sciences leaders will provide strategic direction.
Core Program Elements:
- Five in-person cohort meetings that include expert-led training and networking opportunities with fellow participants
- Mentorship and curated training opportunities customized to company needs
- Trade and investment missions that drive access to key global markets
- Support for international conferences in biotech and medtech including networking and publicity
