Innovation UBC is committed to fostering a unified innovation ecosystem, advancing research collaborations, accelerating early-stage innovation and support for spinoff companies, and strengthening equitable engagement and partnerships. Our successful history of translation and commercialization has led to the creation of 270 spin-off companies, establishing over 500 active licensing agreements, and enabling thousands of research partnerships each year with industry, government, and non-profit organizations. UBC spin-off companies have attracted over $4 billion in investment capital. Our goal is to help create impact from UBC’s breakthrough research to generate social, health, environmental and economic benefits.
