WILLIAM BURROWS

As the Director of Business Operations and Programs for Life Sciences BC (LSBC), William Burrows is helping build a more prosperous and accessible life sciences sector across the Province. Building on 20+ years as a corporate and entrepreneurial leader, William provides strategic and operational oversight across LSBC, including for governance, business operations, policy & process development, program management, marketing & communications, finance, HR and IT.  He also ensures that membership priorities are well represented and embedded throughout its operations.

Prior to joining LSBC in 2020, William served as Vice President, People & Operations for GreenSpace Brands, a Canadian natural foods company. He also previously spent 12+ years in management roles with Johnson & Johnson, across Canada, the USA, and Europe. This includes diverse responsibilities for customer experience, supply chain, logistics, operations, facilities, policy design, systems & process development, and people.

William holds an MBA from UBC’s Sauder School of Business including an international exchange with HEC Paris, a Bachelor of Commerce from UBC, and a Certificate in Executive Supply Chain and Logistics Management from York University’s Schulich School of Business.

Outside the office, William skis in the winter and enjoys sailing during the warmer months. As a third generation Vancouverite, William currently splits his time residing between North Vancouver and Bowen Island.
